Jim Shulman was appointed by 4 board members to fill the open seat caused by the passing of past president Gerry Sawyer, RIP.
The other 4 members dispute this appointment and take the position that the meeting was not proper or legal and that it was a coup. Therefore Jim is not a board member.
There is a lawsuit that might be started if Eric does not reverse the meeting and decides to fight that it was legal and proper.
So why does Jim want to be back on the board and fight so hard?
Many have asked this and there are many theories I have heard.
But I have a new one.
One of Jim's themes when he attacks other board members and say they should be disqualifies is familiar to all, especially his friends.
He says they have a conflict of interest. They are architects, Real Estate brokers. Do other work for pay for owners.
What he does not say is he is a finance advisor and stock broker for many owners.
How many of them did he get to run for the board and are now board member? I do not know/
Doug Dresser? Eric Shaw?
And more important what percentage of his clients are Chalfonte owners? I would not be surprised if The Chalfonte is his largest resource.
And think all of the new successful owners coming to the Chalfonte.
Jim Shulman is now a real estate broker in the Chalfonte and gets exclusives from owners. What does he promise them?
