How Committees work

Here I would like to explain how committee work at the Chalfonte.
The bylaws of the Chalfonte provide for committees. The president can appoint committees to assist him in doing his work.
The board can appoint committees to assist in its work and can even delegate its responsibility to the committee.
Committees need to function under the same rules as the board in some cases and in other cases they do not need to.
The only committee that was appointed by the board in 2017 was the legal committee.
The board also delegated its spending duty to Richard for any spending not included in the budget that is less than $5,000 but must inform the board ASAP when he approves this spending.
I tried to have a board sponsored finance committee but the motion failed 4 to 5.
