bad sport, sore loser and cheater with no integrity

Yesterday in a match between two juniors girls playing for the junior championship, one girl (girl #1) missed a short putt to win the match. Normally the putt she had left to finish her par (1 inch) would have been conceded by the other golfer (girl #2) and they would go on to extra holes to see who won the match.  However, before the short 1" putt was conceded, girl #1, the golfer who missed the putt, just picked the ball up and walked off the green to go to the next hole.

Her opponent, girl #2,  complained to the USGA official that she had not conceded the 1" putt and, consequently girl #1, who picked up her ball lost the hole.  The UGSA ruled with girl #2 that the facts state that the hole has to be conceded before you pick up your ball, even though the putt was only 1" to finish the hole.  A horrible display of bad sportsmanship by girl #2.  Factually correct but without any class whatsoever.  A move that will haunt girl #2 for the rest of her life as a bad sport, sore loser and cheater with no integrity.

"There is a name for what girl #2 did........  WE CALL THAT A "SHULMAN"". Jon
